The rapid development in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), data communication, data processing and data  storage technology have helped us to increase the capability of remote sensing technology and its applications. GENETIC ANALYSIS OF STOCKS OF INDIAN MACKEREL IN THE BAY OF BENGAL, 2012-2013

Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand are working together through the Bay of Bengal Large Marine Ecosystem (BOBLME) Project (GCP/RAS/236/GEF) towards a coordinated programme of action designed to improve the lives of the coastal populations through improved regional management of the Bay of Bengal environment and its fisheries.
