BASIC COMPUTATIONAL PHYLOGENETIC ANALYSIS WOKSHOP

This workshop will be organised at SEAFDEC/MFRDMD Computer Room on 13-15 May 2014. Research Officer and Assistant Research Reseacher from Department of Fisheries Malaysia who are involved in genetic research will attend this workshop. The objectives of this course are (i) to give participants an introduction to the use of bioinformatics methods to analyze data and genetic information on fisheries, (ii) At the end of the course, participants know to apply computer software related to the analysis of genetic data and able to solve problems in their research / field respectively, and (iii) Participants will receive guidance and sharing of information necessary for the purpose of publishing their research finding. Assoc. Prof. Dr Ramlah Zainudin (University Malaysia Sarawak, UNIMAS) and Dr. Fazimah Aziz (UNIMAS) will give the workshop that contain of lectures and hand on data analysis.
