Workshop on “Analisa Data Pendaratan Ikan Yu dan Pari Bagi Menentukan Nilai ‘Maximum Sustainable Yield’ (MSY)” (Sharks and Rays Landing Data Analysis to Determine the Value of ‘Maximum Sustainable Yield’ (MSY)) was held on 24th June 2020 in ICT Room, Southeast Asia Marine Resources Institute (ISMAT), Kuala Terengganu. A total of 11 participants comprising nine staffs from ISMAT and two research officers from FRI Kg. Acheh have participated the workshop. Dr. Rumeaida binti Mat Piah, lecturer and the head of Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu was invited as a resource person to share her expertise in fish stock assessment. Participants were introduced to data analyzation and theory of MSY value estimation using ‘Schaefer’ and ‘Fox’ models. In addition, participants were also practically trained to determine MSY value by analyzing landing data of sharks and rays from two districts namely Larut Matang, Perak and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for year 2017, 2018 and 2019.
