Regional Workshop on Finalizing the Draft Shark and Ray Identification Guidebooks, 4-6 November 2025, SEAFDEC/MFRDMD Office, Terengganu, Malaysia.
The SEAFDEC/MFRDMD will publish new edition of two identification guidebooks end of this year, i.e.: 1) Identification Guide to Sharks and Chimaeras of the Southeast Asian Region (Volume 3); and 2) Identification Guide to Rays and Skates of the Southeast Asian Region (Volume 3). In relation to this, “Regional Workshop on Finalizing the Draft Shark and Ray Identification Guidebooks” was organized on 4-6 November 2025 at SEAFDEC/MFRDMD. Four well-known elasmobranch specialists were invited as resource persons to share their knowledge and expertise in assisting with the refinement and updating of information in those drafts. They are Dr. Fahmi from National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN); Dr. Bernardette Mabel Manjaji-Matsumoto from Universiti Malaysia Sabah; Dr. Ahmad Ali from Malaysia; and Mr. Tassapon Krajangdara from Thailand.
