Regional Technical Consultation (RTC) on Conservation Efforts and Management Strategies of Pelagic Fisheries Resources in Southeast Asia
6–8 January 2026, D Wharf Hotel, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.
The RTC was attended by 41 participants, including representatives from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, DOF Malaysia, DOF Sabah, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam, SEAFDEC Secretariat, SEAFDEC/TD, FRI Kampung Acheh, FRI Batu Maung, FRI Bintawa, and SEAFDEC/MFRDMD officials.
Discussions focused on feedback from the questionnaire on conservation efforts and management strategies of pelagic fisheries resources implemented in AMSs. Representatives also shared success stories highlighting improvements in pelagic resources within their respective countries.
This RTC was the fourth in the series under the project Implementation and Assessment of the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action for the Management of Fishing Capacity, funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
