Workshop on the Finalization of the Project Reports for the Implementation and Assessment of the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action for the Management of Fishing Capacity, 9 -11 September 2026, Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia.

MFRDMD carried out the final activity of the Fishing Capacity Project, entitled Workshop on the Finalization of the Project Reports for the Implementation and Assessment of the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action for the Management of Fishing Capacity, which was held from 9 to 11 September 2026 at Zenith Hotel, Cameron Highlands, Pahang. The workshop was attended by 28 participants, including three resource persons, representatives from the Department of Fisheries (DOF) Malaysia, DOF Sabah, and officials from MFRDMD.

During the workshop, participants reviewed and finalized the Project Terminal Report and the Project Highlights Book (coffee table book), and discussed future plans and proposals for fisheries resource management that MFRDMD could further develop and implement in collaboration with ASEAN Member States.

This final workshop marked the conclusion of the Fishing Capacity Project, which was generously supported by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) and implemented from April 2024 to October 2026.
