Technical Workshop on Data Verification and Validation of Marine Debris and Abandoned, Lost and otherwise Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG) Questionnaire Feedback from Fishers

Dr. Abdullah Mohamad from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) served as the resource person, guiding eight MFRDMD staff members through the process of data verification and validation. The workshop focused on analyzing feedback from 759 local fishers who participated in questionnaire surveys on marine debris and ALDFG, utilizing SPSS software to ensure accuracy and reliability of the results.
This analysis was conducted under Activity 1.1.1 of the project Regional Collaborative Research and Capacity Building for Monitoring and Reduction of Marine Debris from Fisheries in Southeast Asia, funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
